How to Apply for a Supplementary Card:

  • Download the Supplementary Card Application Form 
  • Make sure that you and your nominated Supplementary Cardholder sign the form. 
  • Submit your fully-accomplished and signed application form together with a scanned copy of your Nominated Supplementary Cardholder’s valid Government-issued ID to cardsales@chinabank.ph. Indicate Supple_Application_(Your Full Name) in the e-mail subject.

Annual Membership Fee (Principal) - WAIVED

Finance Charge per Month (Revolving Interest) - 2.00%

Effective Interest Rate per Month - 2.02%

Late Payment Fee - PHP750 or the unpaid Minimum Amount Due, whichever is lower, if no payment is received on or before Payment Due Date or payment is less than the Minimum Amount Due

Foreign Transaction Fee - Transactions made in foreign currencies and/or with foreign merchants shall be subject to a 2.5% Foreign Transaction Fee which is comprised of Mastercard’s Assessment Fee and Foreign Currency Conversion Fee. The same shall apply to transactions executed in Philippine Peso but processed by foreign acquirers, whether online or via POS terminal, in the Philippines or abroad.

Quasi-Cash Fee1 - A 7.5% service fee shall be charged on transactions that are representative of actual cash, or items/instruments that are easily convertible to cash, which may be transferred, negotiated, and serve as tender.

Effective 27 December 2021, a PHP200 Quasi-Cash Fee will be charged on Quasi-Cash transactions.
 
Card Replacement Fee - PHP500 for each card replaced

Card Upgrade/Downgrade Fee - PHP1,000 for each request to change card type

Temporary Credit Limit Increase Fee - PHP300 for regular processing (within 48 hours) and PHP500 for rush processing of increase in credit limit

Installment Pre-Termination Fee - 5% of the remaining unpaid installment balance or PHP500, whichever is higher

Refund Fee - PHP300 for each overpayment refund request

Account Maintenance Fee - For cancelled or closed accounts with credit balance, a fee of PHP200 or the amount equivalent to the balance, whichever is higher, will be charged to the account. In case the balance is less than PHP200, the fee will be equivalent to the balance.

Over Limit Fee - WAIVED
 
Payment Processing Fee - PHP50 for every payment made through payment channels other than CBC, starting from the 4th payment onwards per statement cycle

Returned Check Fee - PHP1,000 for each returned check

Charge Slip Retrieval Fee - PHP500(for local) or USD20(for international) for each copy of charge/transaction slip requested

Certification Fee - PHP300 for each certification request for fully paid or good credit standing

Reprinting of Statement Fee - PHP100 for each Statement of Account reprinting request

  • What is SAP? 
    • The Subsidiaries and Affiliates Program (SAP) is the China Bank Credit Card Program that allows regular employees of China Bank Subsidiaries and Affiliates to enjoy exclusive China Bank Credit Card privileges. 
  • What are the SAP Credit Card exclusive privileges?
    • In addition to the standard China Bank Credit Card features and benefits, SAP Cardholders get to enjoy: 
      • Waived Membership Fees for Principal and Supplementary Cards, as long as they are regularly employed by the China Bank Corporation (CBC) Subsidiary or Affiliate   
      • Finance Charge of only 2% per month  
      • Exclusive employee deals and promos
  • Can SAP Cardholders apply for Supplementary Card/s? 
    • SAP Cardholders may apply for Supplementary Card/s by submitting a properly filled out and signed Supplementary Card Application Form, together with one (1) valid ID of the nominated Supplementary Card applicant.  
  • Can SAP Cardholders request for change in credit limit? 
    • SAP Cardholders may send their request for increase or decrease in credit limit via e-mail at creditcards@chinabank.ph
    • Request for increase in credit limit shall be subject to credit evaluation and may require submission of additional information/documents/endorsement from superior, among others. 
  • How will the SAP Credit Card Statement of Account (SOA) be delivered? 
    • The SOA will be sent as a password-protected PDF file to the SAP Cardholder’s e-mail address on record.  An SMS SOA notification shall also be sent to the SAP Cardholder’s mobile number on record. SAP Cardholders should ensure their e-mail address and mobile number on record are always updated by calling China Bank Customer Service Hotline at +632 888-55-888. 
  • What will happen if the SAP Credit Card Account becomes past due? 
    • Any event of past due occurrence (i.e. payment beyond due date), shall form part of the SAP Cardholder’s employment record and may be subject to Human Resource Division (HRD) sanction. The Bank reserves the right to collect from the SAP Cardholder’s salary to pay the SAP Credit Card past due obligation. 
  • What will happen when the SAP Cardholders resign/retire? 
    • Upon notice of resignation, retirement, or any other reason which will result to cessation of employment, the Bank reserves the right to cancel/block the SAP Credit Card and SAP privilege/s. The SAP Credit Card may be converted to a regular Credit Card subject to the Bank’s policy and discretion. In the event that the SAP Credit Card is not converted to a regular Credit Card, full settlement of the outstanding balance of the SAP Credit Card shall be required and shall form part of the employee’s clearance. The Bank reserves the right to collect/set-off said outstanding balances against salaries, retirement fund, and other monetary benefits due to the SAP Cardholder from his/her employer.
  • Will the SAP Credit Card type and Credit Limit be the same upon conversion to a regular Credit Card? 
    • The SAP Cardholder will be required to submit a duly accomplished regular China Bank Credit Card Application and related application documentation requirements. The regular Credit Card and its credit limit that will be issued shall depend on the credit evaluation done upon conversion.
