  • What is ECP?
    • The ECP allows employees of China Bank to have exclusive Credit Card privileges through their very own China Bank Credit Card (Credit Card). Under the ECP, employees of China Bank become proud brand ambassadors of the China Bank Credit Card.
  •  Are all employees eligible under the ECP?
    • Yes. All regular employees of China Bank are eligible for the ECP.
  • What are the ECP requirements?
    • You must submit a duly filled out and signed Employee Credit Card Application Form and submit the same via e-mail to cardsales@chinabank.ph together with front and back photocopy of your company ID. The Employee Application Form is available on IBM Notes E-Forms. Issued Credit Card type and its corresponding credit limit shall be governed by the ECP policy on card issuance and credit limit assignment.
  • What are my exclusive privileges under the ECP?
    • In addition to the standard Credit Card benefits and features, you get to enjoy:
      • Waived Membership Fees for Principal and all Supplementary Cards
      • Waiver of the Credit Card Replacement Fee, Over Limit Fee, Temporary Increase in Limit Fee, Upgrade/Downgrade Fee
      • Special low monthly revolving interest rate of 2% per month
      • Access to CBC Deals and other promos
  •  Can I avail of installment loans and revolve my credit card balance?
    • Only Rank & File employees are allowed to avail of installment facilities (0% / Reduced Rate Merchant Installment, Transaction Conversion, Balance Transfer) and to revolve their credit card balance.  In compliance with BSP DOSRI rules, employees with rank Assistant Manager and up are required to pay their Credit Card Statement Balance in full and are not allowed to avail of any installment facilities.  In the event that the CBC Officer’s Principal or Supplementary Card/s were used for any installment transaction, it will be posted and billed as straight transaction based on the principal amount and applicable interest.
  •  How do I apply for a Supplementary Card?
    • You can apply for a Supplementary Card by submitting a duly filled out and signed Supplementary Card Application Form. A valid ID of the nominated Supplementary applicant must also be submitted. The Supplementary Card Application Form can be downloaded from IBM Lotus Notes E-Forms.   You and your Supplementary Cardholder share the same credit limit and you are liable for all usages and incurred charges on your Supplementary Cardholder’s Credit Card/s.
  • How do I request for increase in my credit limit?
    • You may request for increase in credit limit if your Credit Card is active and in good credit standing, subject to evaluation and/or submission of documents such as Credit Card statement with other banks or proof of personal deposit relationship maintained with China Bank. You may also opt to assign a hold-out on deposit maintained at China Bank in favor of additional credit limit. Increase in credit limit supported by hold-out on deposit is 100% guaranteed approval.
  • Where can I pay my Credit Card bill?
    • For utmost payment convenience, you may enroll in the Credit Card Automatic Debit Arrangement (ADA) at your China Bank branch of account.  With the ADA facility, your Credit Card will be paid via debit from your nominated China Bank deposit account every Payment Due Date. Alternately, you may pay your Credit Card bill at China Bank ATM/Online/Over-the-Counter, and/or any other payment channels listed in the Bank website under Credit Cards.
  • What will happen if I fail to pay my Credit Card on my Payment Due Date?
    • Failure to pay on time will result to delinquent status which may affect your credit score and employment record. The Bank has the right to collect from your salary or set off from your deposit account to pay your Credit Card obligation. Please remember to always pay on or before your Payment Due Date to keep your Credit Card active and in good credit standing.
  • What will happen to my Credit Card under the ECP when I resign/retire?
    • When you retire or resign, you have the option to convert your employee Credit Card to a regular Credit Card, subject to standard credit policy applicable to regular Credit Card application.  Once the conversion is approved, the balance on your Credit Card will be transferred to the regular Credit Card. However, privileges exclusive for the ECP will no longer be available with the regular Credit Card. In the event that your employee Credit Card is not converted to a regular Credit Card, your Credit Card balance will be due and demandable upon resignation/retirement. You can also arrange with Card Collections Department for payment arrangement through deduction from your last pay.
  • Will I be issued the same Credit Card type and credit limit if I convert my employee Credit Card to a regular Credit Card?
    • Your regular Credit Card and its credit limit will depend on the credit evaluation done on your conversion request.
