Chinabank launches Visa debit cards

New depositors of Chinabank are set to experience enhanced service and convenience with the launch of its Visa-branded debit cards.

The newly introduced CBC Debit Visa and CBC Debit Visa Signature cards enable cardholders to withdraw cash both locally and abroad, and to shop securely at millions of stores and online merchants worldwide. Cardholders can also enjoy exclusive discounts and privileges through CBC Deals and at select Visa partner establishments, as well as easily manage their accounts through the bank’s digital banking platforms—My CBC and My CBC Online.

“We are continuously improving the value and the range of our product offerings to better serve our customers.  As the Philippines transitions towards a cash-lite society, Chinabank’s globally-accepted debit cards give customers the flexibility and security to go cashless as they build their savings,” CBC Consumer Banking Segment Head Aloysius Alday Jr. said.

The CBC Debit Visa is issued to clients who open regular Savings or Checking accounts. Meanwhile, those who open a MoneyPlus Savings or Premium Savings account will receive the CBC Debit Visa Signature, which comes with added benefits such as a low 1.7% foreign transaction fee on international purchases and access to 24/7 assistance via Visa Concierge.

These additions reflect Chinabank’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative financial solutions that match the evolving lifestyles and banking needs of its diverse clientele. Just last month, the bank introduced its first Visa-branded debit card, the CBC Ultra Rewards Debit Visa, as part of the CBC Ultra Rewards Program, which rewards customers for both saving and spending.

Chinabank will soon announce how its existing ATM cardholders can upgrade to the new CBC Debit Visa.
