Terms and Conditions
- The promo is open to customers who:
- Do not have any existing deposit account(s) with China Bank; and
- Are between 18 to 58 years old on the date of account opening
- To qualify for the promo, the customer should:
- Download the China Bank START App; and
- Open an ATM Savings Account
- Qualified customers will be notified of their entitlement to claim a free 3-month Personal Accident Insurance coverage worth Php 50,000 from Manulife China Bank Life (MCBL) within ten (10) banking days from account opening date via their email address and mobile number provided during online account opening. Notification via registered mail will be sent should email and SMS notification fail for whatever reason.
- To claim the free Personal Accident Insurance, the customer must:
- Receive the notification from China Bank Digital with QR code directed to Manulife China Bank Life (MCBL) website
- Scan the QR Code to go to the MCBL website
- Complete and submit the online insurance enrollment form
- The Personal Accident Insurance Coverage shall take effect upon successful completion and submission of the online insurance enrollment form. Successfully enrolled clients will receive a confirmation email from MCBL with the details and validity of their coverage.
- Eligible customers must claim their free Personal Accident Insurance on or before March 31, 2024. Otherwise, eligibility to claim the free insurance will be forfeited.
- To maintain the Personal Accident Insurance coverage, the customer must keep his/her account active and must maintain a minimum Average Daily Balance (ADB) of Php 2,000 throughout the three (3) month coverage. Otherwise, the insurance coverage will be discontinued.
- The Personal Accident Insurance coverage is not transferable or convertible to cash. The personal details provided during the account opening via China Bank START should match the information entered in the Manulife China Bank Life (MCBL) online insurance enrollment form.
- Eligible customers bear the responsibility for ensuring that the notifications from China Bank Digital will not be exposed or disclosed to unauthorized persons. Promo Email or SMS notification must not be forwarded to anyone.
- By opening an ATM Savings Account via China Bank START during the Promo Period, the customers are automatically enrolled into the promo and are deemed to have consented to join the promo and accepted its terms and conditions, unless the customer opts out by contacting China Bank’s Customer Contact Center anytime during the Promo Period.
- Manulife China Bank Life’s (MCBL) Personal Accident Insurance terms and conditions apply.
- Names of the winners shall be shared with the DTI for promo compliance purposes.
- Employees of China Banking Corporation and its subsidiaries including their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining and participating in the promo.
- This promo is not available in conjunction with other existing promos of China Bank, unless otherwise specified.

- All questions and disputes with respect to the promo shall be resolved solely by the Bank with the concurrence of DTI, and any decision shall be considered final and irrevocable.
