Chinabank was again lauded by the CFA Society Philippines for delivering the best returns to investors. For the eighth year, Chinabank Dollar Fixed Income Fund, formerly called Chinabank Dollar Fund, was named as the Best Managed Fund of the Year in the Dollar Long-Term Bond (FVPL category) at the 2024 Best Managed Fund Awards on April 24 at The City Club Alphaland in Makati.
The CFA Society Philippines recognizes high performing funds that are available to the public to raise awareness among retail investors and promote investor education and excellence in the industry. This year, only 13, including Chinabank Dollar Fixed Income Fund, were distinguished as the best managed funds out of the 136 qualified funds from 17 investment houses and trust institutions evaluated.
“We’re focused on helping our clients achieve their investment objectives, expertly managing all our funds to maximize returns at the least possible volatility,” Chinabank Trust Officer Mary Ann Lim said, noting that including this latest award, the bank has garnered a total of 11 Best Managed Fund awards since the CFA Society Philippines launched the program in 2016.
Best suited for investors with a moderate risk appetite and a long-term investment horizon, the award-winning Chinabank Dollar Fixed Income Fund is invested in a diversified portfolio of high-grade marketable securities comprised mainly of Philippine sovereign bonds and US treasury bonds of varying tenors with an average duration of not more than ten years. It aims to outperform its benchmark, the Bloomberg EM USD Sovereign-Philippine Total Return Index.
Aside from Chinabank Dollar Fixed Income Fund, the bank offers 10 other unit investment trust funds catering to investors with varying risk appetites and investment horizons. Click here for more information.
