Chinabank Chairman Hans T. Sy was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to philanthropy, environmental advocacy, and corporate leadership. He was honored at the 2024 Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards last June 4 at the Grand Hyatt Manila. 

Chairman Sy, also the Executive Committee Chairman of SM Prime Holdings, is an inspiration of positive change and empowerment. He has been championing the SM Group's commitment to sustainability, community development, and corporate responsibility to help uplift communities nationwide.

"I am filled with optimism for the future if we can inspire collective action,” he said in his acceptance speech. “Together, I believe we can build a more sustainable and prosperous world for generations to come."

SM Supermalls’ ground breaking Rainwater Project by SM Cares also earned a Bronze Award in the Care for the Environment category. 

Organized by the University of Asia and the Pacific in 2005, Tambuli is an effectiveness award for marketing campaigns and sustainability programs of businesses and brands that drive performance with purpose. The awards program distinguishes impactful marketing campaigns and sustainability and corporate purpose initiatives, as well as organizations and individuals who drive meaningful social change.
