FAQs on the Chinabank Employee Credit Card Program (ECP)

The Chinabank ECP is a benefit given to Chinabank employees where they can enjoy the features of a Chinabank Credit Card without having to worry about annual membership fees. Having a Chinabank Credit Card under the ECP, employees help promote and become brand ambassadors of the Chinabank Credit Card.

All Chinabank employees who are in regular status are eligible to apply under the ECP. Credit card applications received under the ECP are still subject to credit evaluation.

You must submit a duly filled out and signed Employee Application Form and submit the same via e-mail to ecp@chinabank.ph together along with the front and back copy of your company ID. The Employee Application From can be downloaded from SharePoint Forms Online. The credit card type to be issued and corresponding credit limit shall be governed by the approved ECP policy.

In addition to enjoying all the perks and benefits of being a Chinabank Credit Cardholder, you get to enjoy:

  • Perpetual waiver of Annual Membership Fees for Principal and all Supplementary Cards
  • Waiver of the Credit Card Replacement Fee, Over Limit Fee, Temporary Increase in Limit Fee, Upgrade/Downgrade Fee
  • Access to CBC Deals and other promos

All Chinabank employees under the ECP may avail of installment facilities which includes Merchant Installment, Transaction Conversion, Balance Transfer, and Cash Installment. However, in compliance with BSP DOSRI rules, employees with rank Assistant Manager and up are required to pay their Credit Card Statement Balance in full, which includes the monthly amortization of the installment transaction, on or before the Payment Due Date. Failure to pay in full constitutes to non-compliance and violation of the BSP DOSRI rule and Chinabank Policy.

You can apply for a Supplementary Card by submitting a duly filled out and signed Supplementary Card Application Form. A valid ID of the nominated Supplementary applicant must also be submitted. The Supplementary Card Application Form can be downloaded from SharePoint Forms Online. You and your Supplementary Cardholder share the same credit limit and you are liable for all usages and incurred charges on your Supplementary Cardholder’s Credit Card/s.

Assignment of credit limit is based on rank. You may request for increase in credit limit if your Credit Card is active and in good credit standing, subject to evaluation. To request for an adjustment in your credit limit, you may send an e-mail to creditcards@chinabank.ph.

We highly recommend that you enroll in the Credit Card Automatic Debit Arrangement (ADA) at your Chinabank branch of account. With the ADA facility, your Credit Card will be paid via debit from your nominated Chinabank deposit account every Payment Due Date. Alternately, you may pay your Credit Card bill at Chinabank ATM/Online/Over-the-Counter, and/or any other payment channels listed in the Bank website under Credit Cards.

You may refer to table below for the complete payment guide:

Failure to pay on time will result to delinquent status which may affect your credit score and employment record. The Bank has the right to collect from your salary or set off from your deposit account to pay your Credit Card obligation. Please remember to always pay on or before your Payment Due Date to keep your Credit Card active and in good credit standing. All employees with delinquent credit cards will be included in the delinquency report submitted to CBC HRG and maybe subjected to necessary disciplinary actions. Officers who fail to pay in full on or before the Payment Due Date will be included in the DOSRI report submitted to BSP.

When you retire or resign, you have the option to convert your employee Credit Card to a regular Credit Card, subject to standard credit policy applicable to regular Credit Card application. Once the conversion is approved, the balance on your Credit Card will be transferred to the regular Credit Card. However, privileges exclusive for the ECP will no longer be available with the regular Credit Card. In the event that your employee Credit Card is not converted to a regular Credit Card, your Credit Card balance will be due and demandable upon resignation/retirement. You can also arrange with Card Collections Department for payment arrangement through deduction from your last pay by sending an e-mail to cardscollections@chinabank.ph.

Your regular Credit Card and its credit limit will depend on the credit evaluation done with your conversion request.
