China Banking Corporation (China Bank) moves forward with its expansion plan to enhance customer convenience and expand market coverage, opening four branches in May and April. Its savings bank subsidiary, ChinaBank Savings, is likewise on expansion mode, with three more branches now open, bringing the combined branch network to 276 nationwide.
China Bank opened today, May 27, Cebu-Minglanilla and Maasin City branches. Last May 6, its SM City Masinag Branch began operations. On April 8, the Bank opened a branch in Davao-Toril. Meanwhile, ChinaBank Savings also opened its first branch in Baguio City today. Last month, its Valenzuela and Cabanatuan City branches began serving customers.
Cebu-Minglanilla Branch, China Bank’s 16th branch in the Queen City of the South, is located at Unit 9 Plaza Margarita, Lipata, Minglanilla, Cebu and headed by Christine T. Obiña.
Maasin City Branch is China Bank’s fourth branch in Leyte. It is at the ground floor of SJC Building, Tomas Oppus St., Brgy. Tunga-Tunga, Maasin City, Southern Leyte with Maria Luisa V. Gonzales as branch head.
SM City Masinag Branch is the Bank’s fourth branch in Rizal. It is at the ground floor of SM City-Masinag, Marcos Highway, Antipolo City, Rizal and headed by Jojo Aguinaldo. The branch’s opening coincided with the grand opening of the second SM Supermall in Rizal, after SM City Taytay where China Bank also has a branch.
China Bank Davao-Toril Branch is located at McArthur Highway corner St. Peter Street, Crossing Bayabas, Toril, Davao City, and headed by Ericson Muñoz. It is the first China Bank branch opened for the year and its eighth branch in Davao.
ChinaBank Savings’ newly-opened Baguio Branch is located at KDC Building, Marcos Highway, Baguio City and headed by Arnold Alcala, officer-in-charge. Its Valenzuela branch, headed by Ronaldo Centeno, OIC, is situated at 385 McArthur Highway, Malinta, Valenzuela. On the other hand, its Cabanatuan City Branch, headed by Efren D. de Leon, is along Km. 115, Maharlika Highway, Cabanatuan City.
The new full service branches offer a wide array of banking products and services and are equipped with ATMs for 24/7 banking convenience. China Bank branches are open from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Mall-based branches like China Bank SM City Masinag branch serve customers daily except Sundays, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. ChinaBank Savings branches are open on weekdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
China Bank is targeting to open 20 more branches in 2011. ChinaBank Savings, now with 19 branches, also has its own mandate to grow its branch network, with 10 more branches planned for the year. China Bank is looking at a combined network of 400 branches by 2014.
